Preparing Your Kitchen Cabinets

Before you begin painting your kitchen cabinets with extreme bond primer and urethane enamel paint using a paint sprayer, it’s important to properly prepare the cabinets:

  • Remove all cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware.
  • Clean the surfaces thoroughly with a mild detergent to remove any grease or grime.
  • Lightly sand the surfaces to create a smooth and even base for the primer and paint.
  • Wipe away any dust or debris with a clean cloth.

Applying Extreme Bond Primer

The next step is to apply the extreme bond primer to ensure proper adhesion of the paint:

  • Use a paint sprayer to apply a thin and even coat of the primer to all surfaces of the cabinets.
  • Allow the primer to dry completely according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • If necessary, lightly sand the surfaces again to smooth out any imperfections.
  • Wipe away any dust or debris with a clean cloth.

Painting with Urethane Enamel

Once the primer is dry, you can proceed with painting the cabinets using urethane enamel:

  • Using a paint sprayer, apply a thin and even coat of the enamel paint to all surfaces of the cabinets.
  • Allow the paint to dry according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • If desired, apply additional coats of paint, allowing each coat to dry completely before applying the next.
  • Reattach the cabinet doors, drawers, and hardware once the paint is fully dry.

Remember to always follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the primer and paint products you are using. Additionally, ensure proper ventilation and take necessary safety precautions when working with paint sprayers.
